"Bubby's Shadow": A Ghostly Dramedy

How far will a grandma go to save her troubled family? For Bubby, not even death will stand in her way.

An unexpected knock and Jonny's home again… to his sister, his niece, and the past he left behind. So begins one family's journey from their blur of distorted memories, through the dark unknown, to the inner truths within their souls, all brought to light by Bubby's Shadow.

White Rabbit Theatre and Mo Pula Productions present the world premier of Andrew Rothkin's spirited new dramedy, Bubby's Shadow, which runs for 6 performances between July 18th and August 3rd on the Midtown International Theatre Festival's MainStage (The Workshop Theatre).

Author of numerous works that have enjoyed full New York City productions including Voice; Danny; and tryin' t' touch the sun, Andrew Rothkin's spirited latest, Bubby's Shadow, is the story of a dysfunctional, distant family reunited -- for better or worse -- by their grandmother, who just happens to be dead.

Lovingly directed by Ramona Pula, Bubby's Shadow is alternately scary, funny, dramatic and heart-warming.

The premier cast includes an exciting mix of New York's finest up and comers, including Yuri Lomakin, Natasha Malinsky, Eric Percival, Caroline Samaan, Stewart Schneck, the award-winning Ms. Randi Sobol (of FHB Theatre Company's The Tempest fame), and introducing 12-year-old commercial success Noura Jost.

Behind the scenes: the talented design/administrative team consists of Krista Sarubbi (Production Stage Management), Amada Anderson (Assistant Directing, Website Design and House Management), the award-winning Ms. Isabelle Fields (Costume Design), Alan Kanevsky (Sound Design), San Lee (Scenery Design), Duane Pagano (Lighting Design and Special Effects), and Anna Umansky (Props/Production Assistance).
